–cored; and sliced 1/2 c Raisins; seedless

1/2 c Water

1 ts Lemon juice

2 ts Flour

1 ts Cinnamon

1/8 ts Ginger; ground

1/8 ts Cloves; ground

1 Pie crust of your choice

Preheat the oven to 350. In a small saucepan combine raisins with water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to stand, covered, 10 minutes to soften. Drain off excess water and combine raisins with sliced apples, lemon juice, flour and spices; toss well. Pour into a 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan and mound up the filling in the center. Cover with reserved pastry. Crimp edges securely together and slit the top to allow steam to escape. Bake for 40 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serves 6-8. —–
