2 c Sugar
1 1/2 c Oil; cooking
3 Eggs
3 c Flour; all-purpose
1 ts Cinnamon; ground
1 ts Salt
1 ts Soda
1 ts Vanilla extract
2 c Coconut; flaked
1 c Dates; chopped
3 c Apples; raw; chopped
1 c Pecans; chopped
Cream together sugar and cooking oil. Add eggs and beat well. Combine flour, cinnamon, salt, and soda; gradually add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, coconut, dates, apples, and nuts. Batter will be thick. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10″ tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until done. SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine, sometime in the 1970s.
