1 c Chopped raisins
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Melted shortening
2 Eggs; well beaten
3 c Cake flour
2 c Light brown sugar
1 c Sour cream
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Chopped nuts
Combine sugar, salt, and spices. Add sour cream, eggs, and shortening. Beat thoroughly. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda and baking powder. Add to first mixture. Add raisins and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (425 F) about 10 minutes. 50 servings. —–
