4 C. Flour
3 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Sugar
3/4 C. Shortening
1 3/4 C. Milk
Sift flour and the dry ingredients in mixing bowl; add shortening and milk and work with hands on lightly floured board. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
Makes 20 large biscuits.
