1 cup pumpkin — cooked
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening or cooking oil
1 egg — beaten
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts — chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine pumpkin, sugar, shortening and egg. In separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir into pumpkin mixture. Dissolve baking soda in milk and stir into batter. Mix well. Add chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla and mix well. Drop by teaspoonsful onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 -12 minutes.
