1/2 c Butter
1 c Sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Buttermilk
3 c Sifted self-rising flour
2 tb Sugar
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and buttermilk; blend well. Add sifted flour and beat only until blended. Roll out dough on lightly self-rising floured nboard to 1/4″ thickness. Cut with 2″ floured cutter. Place cookies on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with
remaining 2 tb sugar. Bake in 425~ oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Servings: 2 dozen. —–
