Crust 1 1/2 c Flour

1 1/2 c Vegetable oil

2 tb Milk

2 tb Sugar

Filling 1 c Sugar, divided

2 tb Flour

1 ts Lemon juice

6 c Apples; thinly sliced

-& peeled 1/2 c Flour

1/2 ts Cinnamon

1/4 ts Ginger

1/4 c Margarine; dash black pepper

Recipe by: South Bend Tribune CRUST: Place dry ingredients in 9″ pie pan. Add milk to oil. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix with fork. When completely mixed bring crust up sides of pan to form pie shell. APPLE FILLING: Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour. Set aside. Sprinkle apple slices with lemon juice. Toss apples with sugar mixture. Pour into pie crust. Combine remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup flour, cinnamon and ginger. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of apples Bake at 375 for one hour. —–
