1 c Shortening
2 c Sugar
3 Eggs; well beaten
4 c Cake flour; (4 to 4 1/2)
4 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Milk
Filling: 1/2 c Mince-meat
1/2 c Sugar
1/3 c Water
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk. Sift flour,measure, and sift with baking powder and salt. Add to creamed shortening and sugar. Mix thoroughly. Chill 2 hours. Turn onto lightly floured board. Roll in sheet 1/8 inch thick. Cut with floured cutter. Filling: Cook mince-meat, sugar, and water together 10 minutes. Cool. Place 1 teaspoon filling between 2 cookies. Press edges together. Bake in hot oven (425 F) 10 minutes. 36 servings.
