1 c Maple syrup

3/4 c Shortening

3 Eggs

1 c Buttermilk

2 c Flour

1 c Raisins

1 ts Cinnamon

1/2 ts Nutmeg

1/2 ts Cloves

1/2 ts Salt

1 ts Baking soda

1 ts Baking powder

Cream syrup, shortening, and eggs. Mix dry ingred with buttermilk. Add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended. Bake in 8×8 pan for 35 min or til done. Pan should be greased and floured. Frost as desired. —–
