3 tb Water

4 ts Cornstarch

1 Egg; beaten

3/4 c Light cream

3/4 c Sugar

1 ts Ground cinnamon

1/4 ts Ground nutmeg

4 md Red delicious apples; peeled

Pastry for double-crust pie 2 tb Butter

1 tb Milk

1 tb Cinnamon-sugar

Recipe by: Taste of Home Dec/Jan 94 In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until dissolved; add egg, cream, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; place apples in a large bowl; pour cream mixture over and stir to coat; line a 9-inch pie pan with the bottom pastry; pour apple mixture into crust; dot with butter; top with remaining pastry; flute edges and cut slits in top; brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar; bake at 350~F for 55 minutes or until golden brown. —–
