4 Egg yolks

2 1/4 c Brown sugar; packed

1 tb Water

1 ts Vanilla

2 c Flour

1 ts Baking powder

1/2 ts Salt

1 c Gum drops

3/4 c Walnuts

4 Egg whites

Beat egg yolks with beater. Stir in brown sugar, water and vanilla. In another bowl, sift together flour baking powder and salt. Mix with egg-sugar mixture. Stir in gum drops and walnuts.
