3/4 c Butter — room temperature

1 c Sugar, white

1 c Sugar, brown

4 Eggs

1/2 c Cocoa, unsweetened

1 1/2 c Flour

1/2 ts Salt

1/2 c Herman Sourdough Starter

1 tb Vanilla

3/4 c Semisweet chocolate pieces

1/2 c Nuts — chopped

In bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir dry ingredients together. Combine starter and vanilla; add alternately with dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Spread in greased 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2″ pan. Sprinkle chocolate and nuts on top.
