2 pounds Stew beef — 1″ cubes

5 Carrots — 1″ pieces

1 large Onion — cut in chunks

3 Celery stalks — sliced

1 can Tomatoes — large

1/2 cup Quick cooking tapioca

1 Clove; whole — or

OR 1/2 t. ground clove Salt Pepper

Trim all fat from meat. Put all ingredients in crockpot. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on low for 12 hours.
