1/2 c Butter

1 c Sugar

1 1/2 ts Molasses

1 ts Vanilla

1 c Flour

1 ts Cinnamon

3/4 ts Baking soda

1 c Quick oats

1 Egg

1/2 c Raisins

1/2 c Nuts; chopped

1/2 c Coconut

Cream softened butter and sugar together. Add egg, molasses and vanilla; beat. Combine flour, cinnamon and soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in oats, raisins, nuts and coconut. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until lightly browned – about 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen or more. This is from the Palms Elementary School Cookbook. —–
