-GSRP13A Al Tavers 2 c Flour, all-purpose;
– unsifted 1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Sugar
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 c Orange juice
Rind of 1 orange; grated 2 tb Melted butter
2 tb Water; hot
1 c Whole raw cranberries
1 c Coarsely chopped walnuts
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar in a large mixing bowl and set aside. Mix beaten egg with orange juice, rind, butter, and hot water. Fold flour mixture into egg mixture until blended. DO NOT BEAT. Gently fold in cranberries and walnuts. Spoon into greased 9″ X 6″ loaf pan, or smaller pans of choice. Bake at 325 for 60 minutes; test in center with a toothpick. Cool on rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan. —–
