2 c Sugar

2 c All-purpose flour

1/2 c Cocoa

1 Butter

1 c Water

1/2 c Oil

2 Eggs

1/2 c Buttermilk

1 1/2 ts Baking soda

1 ts Almond extract

1 Frosting/canned

FOOD IN A FLASH SHOW #FF2016 AIR DATE: 1/23/96 CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CAKE Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl mix together sugar, flour &cocoa. In saucepan melt butter, water & oil together. Bring to boil. Pour over dry mixture. Blend well. Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda & almond extract. Blend thoroughly. Pour into rectangular baking pan. Microwave until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. About 10-12 minutes. Remove cake from oven. Spread icing evenly over cake. Cool. Add a few candles or a lot of candles & happy birthday!! Approximately 12-15 minutes. —–
