1 c Sugar
1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1/4 ts Cinnamon
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 1/2 c Shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 c Butter;or margarine, melted
1/4 c Milk
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly butter 8x8x2-inch square or 11x7x2-inch baking pan. Set aside. Combine apples that have been peeled
cored and thinly sliced, 3/4 cup of the sugar, 1/4 cup of the flour and the cinnamon in large bowl; toss together. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Combine remaining 1 cup flour, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and cheese in large bowl; toss together to combine. Add butter and milk, stirring until just combined. Spoon cheese mixture over apple mixture in pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until topping is crisp and golden and apples are tender. Serve warm. —–
