2 cans stewed tomatoes

2 cloves garlic — chopped

2 cans red beans — drained

1 dash salt

1 can tomato sauce

2 pounds lean ground beef

1/4 cup white wine

1 1/2 tablespoons chile powder

1 medium onion — chopped

Brown the meat along with the onion and garlic. Drain off the fat. Combine all the ingredients in the slow cooker. Mix thoroughly. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hour s. Serve with sour cream, chopped green onions, grated sharp Cheddar and crushe d red pepper flakes alongside. ~~~ Chester Foster
