Antipasto Skewers: The Ultimate Italian Appetizer
Hello! I’m currently sitting on the train, speeding toward Manhattan and dreaming about the bagel I’m going to devour when I get there. After watching the first two seasons of Mozart in the Jungle (anyone else love that show?!), I’m looking forward to stretching my legs, exploring the snowy city streets, and eating as much as possible. I guess that last part is already taken for granted, huh?
Alright, let’s get to work! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite recipes that is “hardly a recipe.” If you’re entertaining for the Superbowl (or any event, really), this antipasto appetizer is here to help! They are incredibly easy to assemble and can be prepared up to 4 hours in advance.
How to make antipasto skewers
These skewers are very adaptable. If you don’t love mozzarella cheese, you can substitute cubed cheddar, pepper jack, or, well, you get the idea! Not a fan of olives? Leave them out. Don’t you like basil? Use tender vegetables instead. The options are endless. If you’re serving a large crowd, feel free to double this recipe. Feed a smaller crowd? Half the recipe!
So many flavors and textures in one bar… No wonder people are devouring these babies!!!
PS: good luck not eating them ALL before your guests arrive. ← It takes a lot of willpower!
