1 c Shortening
2 c Sugar
3 Eggs; well beaten
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Sour cream
5 c Sifted flour
3 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 c Walnuts; chopped
3 tb Sugar blended with
1 ts Ground cinnamon
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream; mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture. Add nuts, if desired. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Grease bottom of small glass; dip into sugar-cinnamon mixture, and press cookie flat. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen. —–
