1 c Butter or margarine

1 1/2 c Sugar

3 Egg yolks

1 ts Vanilla

2 1/2 c Flour

1 ts Baking soda

1/8 ts Salt

1 ts Cinnamon

1/4 ts Ground cloves

2 tb Buttermilk

4 c Nuts; chopped

1 lb Dates; chopped

Recipe by: WILSON BWVB02B Cream together the butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla and heat well for about 2 minutes. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves and add to the mixture. Add the milk and stir well. Now fold in the nuts and dates. Drop by the teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet.
