6 c Strawberries
– washed and hulled 1 c Sugar
3 1/2 tb Cornstarch
1/2 c Water
1 (9-in.) baked pastry shell
Whipped cream Mash 2 cups berries. Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add water and mashed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture comes to boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool. Fold remaining berries into cooled mixture. Pile into pastry shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
