1 c Butter or margarine;
-softened 1/3 c Granulated sugar
1 3/4 c All-purpose flour
1/4 c Cornstarch
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/2 c Ground almonds; toasted
Chocolate glaze: 1/2 c Semisweet chocolate chips
1 tb Butter or margarine
Recipe by: Country Christmas Recipes Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until creamy. Mix in flour, cornstarch and vanilla. Stir in almonds. Shape Tablespoon of dough into crescents. Place 2″ apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 22-25 minutes until light brown. Cool 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. Drizzle with Chocolate glaze, if desired. Allow chocolate to set, then store in airtight container. Or, before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Glaze: Place 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1 Tablespoon butter in small resealable plastic bag. Place bag in bowl of hot water for 2-3 minutes until chocolate is softened. Dry with paper towel. Knead until chocolate is smooth. Snip pinpoint corner in bag. Drizzle chocolate over cookies. —–
