2 c Water
2 c Milk
1 ts Salt
1 c Yellow cornmeal
1/4 c Butter/margerine
Cottage Cheese (Optional) Sour Cream (Optional) Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional) In a saucepan combine first 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and cook until butter is melted and mixture is thick, about 15–20 minutes. Serve topped with a spoonful of cottage cheese and sour
cream. (Marmaliga can also be served plain or sprinkled with grated Parmesan Cheese.) Serves 6.
